Law Enforcement Guidelines
The epic cake and its ecosystem (including Cosmos+ Networks) are committed to cooperating with recognized law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and government authorities while protecting the privacy of our users. These guidelines explain how official authorities can request data or assistance from us.
1. Requirements for Legal Requests
We only respond to valid, legally binding requests from authorized law enforcement or government agencies. To verify your identity and process your request efficiently, you must ensure the following:
- Official Email: All requests MUST be sent from an official government or law enforcement email domain (e.g., .gov, .mil, .police.uk). Requests from free providers (like Gmail, Yahoo, or ProtonMail) will be ignored.
- Agency Information: Include the name of the agency, the requesting officer's name, rank, badge/identification number, and direct contact phone number.
- Target Identification: Provide the exact Discord User ID (a 17-19 digit number) or the specific IP address associated with the subject of your investigation. Usernames alone are often insufficient.
- Legal Process: Attach the valid, signed legal process document (e.g., Subpoena, Court Order, Search Warrant) appropriate for the jurisdiction and the type of data requested.
2. Data We Can Provide
Depending on the specific services the user interacts with (such as our web verification systems, dashboards, or bots), we may hold the following types of information:
- Basic Account Info: Discord User IDs, linked server IDs, and known usernames/aliases.
- Telemetry & Usage: Activity metrics, message counts, and timestamps of interaction with our services.
- Verification Logs: IP addresses, User-Agent strings, and email addresses collected during anti-raid verification or web dashboard logins.
3. Preservation Requests
We accept formal requests from LEAs to preserve data while a valid legal process is being obtained. Upon receiving a formal preservation request from an official agency email, we will preserve the relevant user data for up to 90 days.
4. How to Submit a Request
Please submit all legal requests, preservation requests, or inquiries via email to:
Email: support@theepiccake.org
To ensure your request is routed to our legal team immediately, please include "LAW ENFORCEMENT REQUEST" in the subject line of your email.
